Technical Game Designer

  • Tool Creation

  • Created multiple tools to assist in the design and development of the tabletop wargame Dragonbond: Battles of Valerna. Created mostly in the Google Drive suite (Sheets, Docs, etc.) the most crucial of these was a rating system to assist in the creation and balance of new units as well as automating as much as possible the process of exporting them into cards. Other tools included a form to facilitate the tracking of playtest data, a parser that ensured flavor text for the cards didn’t exceed the maximum length or contain problematic characters and a tool for rolling a set of our custom dice directly from the spreadsheet.
